These first two cartoons won Second place for original cartoons in the State of South Dakota Press Awards in 2007 and 2008 respectively. Many of these issues are over but some should be familiar throughout the ages. Sen. Thune and Daschle were never serious VP contenders in '08 but it made for a fun SD grown politicians fight.There are more cartoons further down the page.
I like using color but it wasn't very necessary in black and white print. Some of these ideas were mine, many were collaborations with my editor Tom Lawrence and a few were his idea entirely.
